Why Email Deliverability Is a Much Higher Barrier Than Getting Into IT

9 years ago, I was hiring Upwork freelancers to set up MX records so my GSuite would actually work.

5 years ago, I was doing email deliverability freelancing, back when DKIM, SPF, and DMARC was enough to stay out of spam, and these weren't even mainstream yet.

Today, SH Consulting has worked with over 450 companies on deliverability and email security, and we compete with Sendgrid Professional Services, a benchmark for high-quality deliverability consulting. We have Luke Martinez on our team, who built that service at Sendgrid from the ground up.

Sendgrid proved there was demand for deliverability consulting, but kept pricing high and limited the scope to their own infrastructure. We took a different approach.

We built a multi-infrastructure deliverability practice, designed for small and mid-sized businesses that operate across platforms and can't justify enterprise-level contracts.

Getting into IT is considered a high barrier to entry. Keeping emails consistently landing in the inbox at scale is a much higher one.

That's the one we solve.
